I'm sad to confirm that former Member of Parliament for Hohoe, Bernice Adiku Heloo, has indeed passed away

I'm sad to confirm that former Member of Parliament for Hohoe, Bernice Adiku Heloo, has indeed passed away. She was a dedicated public servant who served as the MP for the Hohoe Constituency in the 6th and 7th Parliaments of Ghana's 4th Republic, from January 7, 2013, to January 6, 2021 .

Heloo was a development expert and a member of the National Democratic Congress. She was also the former president of the Society for Women and AIDS in Africa and the founder of Prolink, a Ghanaian NGO .

During her tenure as MP, Heloo was a strong advocate for her constituents and was known for her criticism of the government's handling of certain issues, including the kidnapping of the Takoradi girls .

Her passing is a significant loss to the people of Hohoe and Ghana as a whole. May she rest in peace.
