The highly awaited production, You production Me, I Play You, will feature Nigerian comedian Brain Jotter with Ghanaian celebrities General Ntatia, Clemento Suarez, and Adwoa Lindsay. Ghanaian comedy lovers are in for a treat. The play, which was written by Efo Kodjo Mawugbe and staged by Africa Art Network, explores a friendly, comic competition between Ghana and Nigeria. In a sequence of lighthearted role reversals, the characters playfully challenge one another to establish who is better or worse.
Brain Jotter expressed his delight about performing in Ghana, a nation he greatly admires, in an interview on Channel One TV's The Chat. He declared, "Ghana is a country that I truly adore." "I didn't hesitate when I received the call. Particularly with this cooperation, it's the first of its type, and I'm excited to be a part of something new. Although Brain Jotter said at first that the assignment was taxing, collaborating with the gifted group and seasoned Ghanaian actor General Ntatia made it easy and pleasurable. Working with General Ntatia made everything so much easier, and the crew was strategic with the setup. It was a lot of effort at first, but it soon became a lot of joy," he continued.
Adding to his excitement, Clemento Suarez pointed out how the plot combines the best aspects of Ghanaian and Nigerian comedy in a way that viewers have never seen before. This is going to be the first time that Ghana and Nigeria would be on the same stage as one another. People are about to experience something unique and momentous. He stated, "We intend to continue doing this and possibly even expand it to other nations." You Play Me, I Play You, which features Brain Jotter and General Ntatia as representatives of their respective nations' humor, offers a novel approach to cultural comedy, laying the groundwork for future cross-country partnerships and creating a memorable evening.
