Actor Kwaku Manu has been saved by a Ghanaian media celebrity.
Her intervention comes after Kwaku Manu received harsh criticism for wearing a t-shirt to the presidential supper following President John Dramani Mahama's swearing-in.
A number of heads of state and other dignitaries attended the black tie dinner, which featured participants dressed in their finest suits and tuxedos, with women showcasing their finest dinner gowns.
However, Kwaku Manu stood out from the other attendees at the meal by wearing a white t-shirt, wine-colored pants, and a white sneaker.
The actor received a lot of backlash for his attire when the video went viral online. Many people said it was unsuitable and disrespectful to President John Dramani Mahama, who was hosting the dinner.
Bridget Otoo, however, criticized Ghanaians for their unfair treatment of Kwaku Manu and disagreed with his opinion.
She claims that these same Ghanaians who are criticizing Kwaku Manu would have acted differently if the country's billionaires, such as Dr. Osei Kwame and Ibrahim Mahama, had attended the same event wearing such casual attire.
She wrote, "Why would you drag Kwaku Manu?" in a post on her X page. If Ibrahim Mahama or Despite wore this, you would be here doing "see how the rich do it."
