The senior pastor of Alabaster International Ministries, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has denounced individuals who are targeting Ibrahim Traore, the leader of Burkina Faso, for reportedly carrying a gun to President John Dramani Mahama's inauguration on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
Speaking to his supporters, Oduro claimed that those who are criticizing him are acting hypocritically, pointing out that local security forces were armed at the time as well.
Oduro commended Traore's leadership, pointing out that he is accomplishing more for his nation than many democratically elected leaders, despite the fact that he came to power through a coup.
"Observe what Burkina Faso has accomplished." "What have you accomplished, those of you who have not taken a gun?" he asked, alluding to Traoré's accomplishments, which included the opening of a $12 million tomato factory.
Additionally, Oduro's comments highlighted the disparities in security requirements.
"This young man is sensible and hardworking," he added, defending Traore's leadership. He's not going to let you waste money.
The prophet urged Traore to carry on with his efforts, emphasizing that his leadership is very different from that of some of his neighbors.
With noteworthy accomplishments like the factory and border closures that put national interests before of regional politics, Oduro's remarks highlighted the practicality and advancement of Burkina Faso under Traore.
Critics are doubting the validity of Traore's ascent to power, and this audacious defense of him and his tactics comes amid escalating regional tensions.
Oduro, however, is unwavering in his backing and exhorts the youthful leader to continue his revolutionary initiatives.
