Outspoken entertainment journalist and pundit Sally Frimpong Mann has addressed the criticism she frequently encounters from the public, refuting assertions that she seeks attention or thrives on controversy. In an interview with Graphic Showbiz on November 19, 2024, she characterized herself as a fearless truth-teller in a pretentious industry.

"There are too many hypocrites in the business who only tell the truth in front of cameras, which is why people have problems with me," Mann stated. She clarified that her courageous actions are motivated by her commitment to honesty rather than by personal grudges against any famous individual. She added unrepentantly, "If you are a celebrity and don't want to be talked about, then go and hide under a bed."

Noting the attention her comments garner, she also emphasized how her influence in the sector has increased. I consider myself to be the current queen of Ghana's entertainment sector. Yes, I do deserve that, she responded confidently, "because I'm a very important figure in the creative industry whose opinions matter." As the host of Showtym on Adom TV, Mann confessed that her candid style has garnered praise and criticism. She is adamant, nevertheless, that her integrity is what makes her unique in the entertainment industry.
