The assassination of Ahmed Suale is the work of a senior minister in Nana Addo's administration - A Plus

There is a politician responsible for Ahmed Suale's murder, according to Kwame Asare Obeng, the recently elected Member of Parliament for the Gomoa Central Constituency, often known as A Plus.

In a live broadcast, the lawmaker revealed that he had knowledge regarding the horrific death of investigative journalist Ahmed Hussien Suale at some point last year.

Numerous people contacted the IGP after his outburst to extend an invitation so he could share the knowledge he had with them. A-Plus received an invitation from the IGP, and the meeting took place at the police headquarters.

Months have passed and "nothing" has been heard about the information that A Plus gave the police, so he took to social media to threaten to reveal the murderers’ identities.

A-Plus claims that the detective's killers were hired by a prominent politician who served as a minister in the previous Akufo-Addo administration.

He went on to say that when the police CID invited him over, he gave them his very reliable source, but as no public update has been provided, it appears that the case has been put on hold.

A Plus in his post added that he was giving the Police CID 48 hours to release an update to the public or he would be forced to invoke his parliamentary mandate by requesting for the Ghana Police Service to appear before parliament to provide an update.

He also threatened to use his Facebook page to tell the public the whole story should the police and parliament fail to act on this.

He posted: “Last year, I was invited to the CID headquarters to provide information regarding the murder of Ahmed Suale. During the meeting, I identified a high-profile minister from the previous government who was allegedly involved in contracting assailants to carry out the crime. I also disclosed my source, a highly credible one, in the presence of the CID director. It is critical that the CID director updates the public on the progress of the investigation and indicates with justification whether additional time is required.

At this point, it appears the matter has been sidelined. If no update is provided within 48 hours, I will invoke my authority as a Member of Parliament to formally summon the Ghana Police Service to brief Parliament on this case. Should that fail, I will utilize my Facebook and other social media platforms to update the nation on what I know about the matter which shall include the name of the alleged perpetrator. Thank you.”
