The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Amenfi Central Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has expressed her gratitude, saying that "God has vindicated" her following the Sekondi High Court's decision to set aside an injunction that had barred her from contesting the seat.
In an interview with Citi News, a relieved and elated Cudjoe thanked God for her "vindication" and expressed her gratitude to the NDC and its members for their steadfast support.
She encouraged her supporters in Amenfi Central to celebrate the victory, announcing her plans to officially launch her campaign and see it through to the December elections.
"We thank God for everything that has happened today, especially my new lawyers who came in to rescue me...I thank God and all the NDC members, executives, and all the Western Region NDC. I must say I am very happy."
"I have done no wrong. My only wrong was contesting and winning an election, and God indeed has proven people wrong...So I am coming home, and we will do our campaign launch and proceed with all we have to do. I know people are awaiting my arrival, so they should make merry because God has made this happen," Cudjoe said.
