The Honorable Kennedy Ahead of the next elections, well-known Ghanaian politician and business tycoon Ohene Agyapong has made a strong plea to Ghanaians. Known for his candid opinions, Agyapong is urging voters to change their priorities and think about how their choices will affect the world in the long run, particularly when it comes to selecting leaders who can provide long-term economic solutions. In a recent video posted on Attorney Sammy Gyamfi's official Facebook page, Agyapong underlined that Ghanaians should give preference to candidates who are dedicated to generating employment opportunities, especially for young people, rather than those who promise instant financial rewards in return for votes.

In his remarks, Agyapong emphasized the continuous hardships that many Ghanaians endure, which he relates to the electorate's propensity to rely their voting decisions on temporary financial favors that politicians offer during election seasons. He voiced concern that these kinds of actions have proliferated throughout the nation, undermining attempts to establish a strong basis for sustained economic expansion. Agyapong contends that the loop of vote-buying, in which politicians offer money or merchandise in return for votes, is detrimental to the advancement and future prosperity of the country.

Agyapong cautioned that Ghana's future would suffer if leaders were chosen for their ability to solve unemployment in a sustained manner rather than on their ability to provide instant benefits. He advocated for a change in perspective, asking voters to consider what a politician can do to create jobs and promote economic stability for the coming generation rather than what they can offer them right now. Agyapong declared, "We are condemning future generations to a life of struggle and poverty if we continue to allow money to determine our vote."

The MP for Assin Central also took issue with the state of the labor market, where many people must pay outrageous prices simply to get work. Agyapong claims that this is a very concerning trend that only serves to exacerbate inequality and corruption in the nation. He underlined that such actions are not only unjust but also unsustainable because they uphold a system in which the majority of people are left behind and only a small number of people profit from the country's riches.

Agyapong emphasized the significance of choosing capable leaders with a distinct vision for the long-term economic growth of the country. He exhorted Ghanaians to focus on the possibility of future growth and prosperity rather than the promises of now monetary rewards. "We require qualified leaders, not those who will pay to hold their jobs. "We must elect leaders who have a plan for economic growth, job creation, and youth well-being," he stated.

Agyapong concluded by advising voters to make well-informed choices in the next elections and to give preference to candidates who are dedicated to job creation, sustainable development, and the nation's general economic improvement. He thinks Ghana can create a better future for the following generation provided its citizens make the correct decisions.

On social media, Agyapong's statement has generated debate, with many people concurring that a shift in Ghanaians' election-related mindset is essential to the nation's long-term development. Agyapong's demand for a change in priorities as the country enters a new election cycle serves as a reminder of how crucial it is to choose leaders who are truly committed to the welfare and future of the country.
