According to news sources, there was a heist at a Forex Bureau in Lapaz, which is part of the Greater Accra Region. The report claims that in order to conduct their operation, armed thieves broke into the Forex Bureau. But when a police patrol team showed up on the spot, their plan was foiled. The Forex Bureau office was quickly locked by the police, trapping the criminals inside.

To help apprehend the suspects, reinforcements were called. The most recent intelligence, however, indicates that the criminals had already made their getaway when the police arrived at the Forex Bureau office.

Despite being detained, the criminals were able to escape, according to an eyewitness at the site. He disclosed that the cops were not aware of the building's emergency exit. The robbers are thought to have escaped via this exit.

A mob of bystanders can be seen watching the police get ready to arrest the offenders in the scene's videos. Social media users in Ghana have commended the police for their prompt and astute handling of the matter.

This occurs just a few weeks after a jewelry store in the Accra suburb of Adenta was robbed in a similar manner. In that instance, armed bandits broke into a well-known jewelry store during the day. They pretended to be customers when they entered the store and then demanded the valuables with their firearms. The burglars stole valuables from the store, including cash and gold.

According to witnesses, the robbers entered the store for a number of minutes without worrying about getting caught. Before the police could reach the scene, some bystanders captured the criminals fleeing the store and making their getaway on motorcycles. This robbery during the day sparked worries about local security. Numerous people urged the police to step up patrols and make sure that residences and businesses were secure.
