The GTA’s vision is to position Ghana as a leading sustainable tourist destination in West Africa (with key strategic goals set for 2026 in some strategic plans) and for tourism to be a driver for socio-economic development.
It uses tools such as participation in international fairs and exhibitions; publication of promotional materials; organization of special events and awards; research to inform policymaking.
Surroundings & Significance of Location
The GTA headquarters in South Ridge is in a prominent area of Accra, which is an administrative / institutional neighbourhood. Being near other public institutions (GIJ, GFA etc.) gives it visibility and access.
