Career and politics

He runs his own business in the Ashanti Regions called the Odike Ventures.

In 2012, he was the candidate for the United Front Party and was eighth out of the eight contestants with 0.08% of the votes cast. This resulted in a feud between himself and Nana Agyenim Boateng, chairman of the party, and led to the dismissal and counter dismissals and some scuffles between both factions.

Odike was suspended for breaching the party's constitution in appointing his own son as the acting General Secretary. The party again contested in the 2016 general elections but failed.

In May 2015, Odike and Razak Kojo Opoku left the UFP and co-founded the United Progressive Party which was registered with the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC). He was then sacked from the party due to ongoing differences. This caused to split into two factions. He then withdrew from the contest on which leadership was legitimate.

He became a strong NPP supporter in the 2016 general elections but accused Nana Addo of nepotism.

Odike in 2020 was then nominated to stand for president and accused some officials from the NPP of preventing him from registering

This was denied by the chairman of the NPP, Peter Mac Manu. H was disqualified by the Electoral Commission because his documents were not satisfactory.
