Accra, Feb. 16, GNA - Foreign Minister Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would on Friday leave for Cote d'Ivoire with Ghana's delegation to attend the monthly meeting of the International Working Group (IWG) on the politically-disturbed country.
He returns the same day, an official statement signed by Amanor Mante, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, said on Thursday. The IWG was established in October 2005 in line with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1633.
The Resolution mandates the IWG to consult with all the Ivorian parties to ensure that Ivorian institutions functioned normally until the holding of elections.
It is also required to, in consultation with the parties, draw up a road map with a view to holding free, fair, open and transparent elections as soon as possible and not later than October 31. 16 Feb. 06
