Ex-Blackstars captain donates to NGO

Former captain of the Senior National team - the Black stars, Charles Akunnor has donated food items worth 15 million cedis ($1,900) to Help Age Ghana, a non governmental agency which caters for the aged. The donation is in fulfilment of a promise by the Skipper to make yearly donations to needy institutions in Ghana.

Former captain of the Senior National team - the Black stars, Charles Akunnor has donated food items worth 15 million cedis ($1,900) to Help Age Ghana, a non governmental agency which caters for the aged. The donation is in fulfilment of a promise by the Skipper to make yearly donations to needy institutions in Ghana. Akunnor, who plies his trade with Wolfsberg in Germany said he received a lot of support from Ghanaian players when he declared his intention to make the donation. Miss Joanna Baddoo, Board Member of Help Age expressed appreciation to the player for the donation. She said the items have come at a time when the organisation is in dire need of support to care for its members.
