The New Patriotic Party will hold its National Delegates Conference from January 3rd to 5th next year. Ten delegates from each of the 200 constituencies would assemble at Sekondi to affirm President John Agyekum Kufuor as the party's presidential candidate for the 2004 elections.

President Kufuor was the only candidate who filed his papers to contest the party's flag-bearer position at the close of nominations.

The main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), last Saturday elected former vice president John Evans Atta Mills as their presidential candidate.
