The Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Ghana have been formally established recently in the Ghananian capital of Accra, the Chinese embassy in Accra told Xinhua Friday.

At the inauguration ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana Yu Wenzhe, expressed his hope that Chinese enterprises will enjoy rapid and sound growth in Ghana and promised to follow and support the work of the chamber.

Nearly 300 people, including Chinese diplomats and representatives of Chinese firms in Ghana, attended the ceremony.

The commerce, registered in Ghana in March 2007, currently has more than 40 member firms.

The attendants at the ceremony believed that the creation of the chamber will help standardize Chinese firms' market activities, avoid unhealthy competition, protect their legitimate rights and further enhance the economic and trade links between China and Ghana.
