Christie Azumah is Dead!

Ghana's Queen of Pop Christie Azumah is reported to have died at a Los Angeles hospital yesterday after a long bout with cancer. Christie had been living in the Los Angeles area for several years.

Denizens in Ogyakrom and abroad may well remember her in the early '70s as national pop singer who frequently featured on GBC-Television dance-music shows.
