Adansi-Atobiase (Ash), July 30, GNA- A District Director of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), has called on Ghanaians especially those in the rural areas to expose rapists in their localities for the law to deal with them. Mr Opoku Asirifi, the Adansi East District Director of CHRAJ, who made the call said, until Ghanaians cultivated the habit of exposing unscrupulous persons in the society, rape and defilement cases will be on the increase.

Addressing members of the Saint Paul's Catholic Church at Adansi-Atobiase on Wednesday said in spite of complaints of sexual harassment of women, especially young girls, the incident is on the increase.

He, therefore, advised religious bodies to educate their members on their human rights and appealed to the youth in the church to practice sex-free relationship before marriage.

Mr Asirifi cautioned those who contract marriages for under-age girls to desist from the practice since it was against the constitution. He said the law stipulates that any person who contracts such a marriage was liable to a fine of five million cedis plus three months' imprisonment.
