Former Accra Hearts of Oak defender Dan Quaye has attacked the management of the club for their failure to tie down key players to long term contracts.
Thomas Abbey, Leonard Tawiah, Kwame Kizito, Inusah Musah, Vincent Atingah, Isaac Mensah, Patrick Razak have all left the Phobians since 2017 and this enrages Dan Quaye.
“This is what happens if you have management members of a club who know nothing about football.” Dan Quaye told Footballmadeinghana.
“If you say you understand football how then do you let the contract of key players run out before you try to negotiate new ones”
“They show no concern and when it is four months or six months remaining then they try to keep the players but this is unacceptable”
“The way Ghanaian clubs deal with the players is too bad. The management members haven’t been footballers before so they hardly show sympathy to we the footballers and its unfortunate”
“This is why the players are leaving the club.” Quaye stated.
