This accident occurred on Monday August 20 at the Kaneshie market near the small overhead bridge. Eyewitnesses said this heavy duty garbage vehicle was moving from Odorkor towards Kaneshie after emptying its contents. Suddenly, the driver lost control and smashed into the huge concrete hall separating the dual carriage road leading to the overhead bridge. The impact of the crash was so massive that the vehicle made an anti-clockwise turn, as if it was heading for Odorkor. According to the eyewitnesses, the driver lost control as a result of tiredness or was asleep. Thank God it did not run into any other car, nor did it kill any one, since it was early morning when the traffic was light.
