The Director of Communications of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr James Asante has accused the major opposition party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for hiding behind civil and pressure groups' demonstration.
He said, such actions undermines the importance and the credibility of pressure groups within a democratic system.
He explained that, opposition political parties can demonstrate against government when it deems fit, but it must not be disguised.
Mr Asante was speaking in an interview with Osei Tutu on the Morning Show of the Rainbow Radio International.
He noted the importance of demonstration in any democratic governance as a means of expression, but it is unfortunate that the opposition is trying without success to tag the government with corruption.
This he said, would not gain any credibility since government has amply demonstrated his willingness to dealing with corruption and ensuring that, the state of the economy is improved.
'The ordinary Ghanaian can see all the efforts of the government even though more needs to be done', he said.
He said, the Mahama -led administration has 'done enough to expose corruption through the establishment of the Sole Commission, the exposure of corruption and the code of Conduct for its appointed Ministers'. he added.
