Tiero Still Waiting

Thu, 21 Apr 2005 Source: --

Former kotoko and national team offensive midfielder William Tiero is still in the waiting mood hoping for the transfer window in Europe to open so that his dream of plying his soccer trade in Europe becomes a reality.

William Tiero who reverted back to Liberty Professionals from Kototko after a one season loan, flew to France for trials at the invitation of former Black Stars' coach Mariano Bareto. His two weeks justifier in France was extended by officials of Bordeaux FC so that they could observe him

Officials of Bordeaux look convinced and satisfied but have not been able to seal a deal because the transfer window is closed in Europe. The Meteors and Black Stars player is currently being housed in Portugal by Bareto who would not want to loose out on the Tiero deal.

Whilst officials of Liberty are engaging in talks with the agents, Tiero has also caught the eyes of FC Moscow of Russia and Charlton Athletics of England but has opted to play in France. He is expected home for a short holiday and will fly back to France in a few days time. He however, hinted that if the deal doesn't go through, he would feature for Liberty Professionals in the on-going GT Premierships.
