Hon. Ishmael Tetteh Aryeetey, a former Member of Parliament for Odododiodioo Constituency, Greater Accra Region, in the year January 16, 2013, was elected and installed by the principal elders of Nokoyedzen of Lartei family, near Nsawam, as the Head and lawful representative of the Lartei Family.

Hon. Ishmael Tetteh Aryeetey is the last son of Charles Lartei Aryeetey, known as (Ataafio Goldsmith) and Rebecca Ayorkor Afutu. Charles Lartei Aryeetey was installed as the chief of Nokoyedzen-Larteiman by the elders of Nii Larkai We, the then Gbese (Adonteng) Mantse, Nii Ayi Bonte I and the then Ga Mantse, Nii Taki Kome II who ruled from 1928 to 1960. His name is captured in the list of the 1931 and 1942 Gold Coast list of Chiefs under Gbese Division.

Hon. Aryeetey’s transformational contributions to the socio-cultural wellbeing of Larteiman, Nokoyedzen and the Ga State as a whole, never went unnoticed. Beside that, his spirit of resilience and resistance against trespassers and usurpers has also gained much admiration from His Royal Highness Nii Ayi Bonte II, Gbese Mantse and the (ADONTENG OF THE GA STATE), and the leadership of the Ga Traditional Council.

To give his blessings and reaffirm his support and acceptance of Hon. Ishmael Tetteh Aryeetey as a hardworking son of the Gbese Clan, His Royal Highness, Nii Ayi Bonte II, Gbese Mantse, (the Adonteng of the Ga State) brought into the Gbese Palace Hon. Ishmael Tetteh Aryeetey and performed the necessary rites. Subsequently, His Royal Highness, Nii Gbese, elevated Hon. I.T. Aryeetey to be part of the executive elders in the Gbese Palace in relation to the decision-making processes in the matters concerning Gbese. The ceremony ceremony took place on the day of the lifting of the ban on drumming and noisemaking, which was the night of 6th June, 2024.

Again, for his diligence towards building the Ga State, Hon. Ishmael Tetteh Aryeetey has also been recognized by the Ga Traditional Council, and therefore, called upon to join the elders of the GTC so that he could, more effectively and directly, contribute his quota to the development of the Ga State.

He partnered with Nii Lartei Nokoyedzen II, the chief of Nokoyedzen-Larteiman to amicably settle serious disputes, within the period 2013 and 2014, which were between the residents of Nokoyedzen-Larteiman and those of Nsumia over a quarry site situated at Nokoyedzen-Larteiman. Nii Lartei Nokoyedzen II, who is usually remembered for spearheading developments such as rural electrification and road construction, healthcare interventions, among others, is the third born son of Emmanuel Boye Aryeetey and Sarah Comiley Commey, Mr. Charles Sarbah Graham, known as (Odeyste Adu) who, when naming the infant baby as Solomon Nii Larlai Aryeetey, as he is known in his private life, foretold the baby’s ascension unto the throne of Nokoyedzen-Larteiman. Between August 15th and 18th, in the year 2013, the prophecy was fulfilled.

Just as it with Hon. Ishmael Tetteh Aryeetey, Nii Nokoyedzen II is also in the good books of Nii Ayi Bonte II, Gbese Mantse and the Adonteng of the Ga State.

Hon. Ishmael Tetteh Aryeetey represented the Nokoyedzen Lartei family during the recent royal of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to the Ga Mantse in Accra.

The Gbese Mantse and friends and family congratulated Hon. Ismael Tetteh Aryeetey for his contributions to the good of the Ga State.
