THE GUIDE

Thu, 25 Sep 1997 Source: --

The Guide reports in its centre pages that the Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr Victor Selormey has charged exporters in the ECOWAS sub-region, to rise above the challenges of the seemingly insurmountable odds related to exports with the view to making export goals a reality. According to the paper, the Deputy Minister said the sub- region's integration effort should be focused in such a way as to derive maximum benefit from the region's economic and industrial capacity to create the critical mass effect to lead to an increase in trade and enhance the sub-region's competitiveness within the global economy. Mr Selormey, the Guide says, was addressing a one-day seminar for exporters whose main aim was the promotion of trade within the ECOWAS sub- region. GRI
