Ghanaian hip hop artist, Micheal Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie has stated that he wanted to be part of Akwaboah’s success story which was the reason behind his decision to sign him unto Sarkcess Music.
According to him, Akwaboah has been in the music scene for a very long time and some people do not have the courage to do his kind of songs.
Sarkodie made this revelation at a programme organised by Akwaboah on Valentine’s Day dubbed ‘Shades of Love’ where many artists like Adina, Flowking Stone, Sarkodie, and several others passed through.
“Akwaboah has been in the industry for a long time and people do not have the courage to do his genre of songs.
I listened to Akwaboah’s songs but I want to be part of his success story so I contacted him.
Akwaboah is worth supporting and this is the kind of music that will put Ghana out there”, he stated.
Sarkodie, however, pleaded with Ghanaians to support Akwaboah’s music as he is of the view that his type of music will put Ghana on the map.
“If you are a big fan of Akwaboah, I want you to be proud of him and still keep supporting.
Any music he puts out, I want you all to really listen to it and enjoy beautiful Akwaboah music”, he added.
