Willie Klutse, the Technical Director of Inter Allies Football Club, claims it is a great honour for their club to play against Accra Hearts of Oak on their Anniversary day.
On Thursday, the Phobians unveiled former Ghana International Kim Grant as their new Director of football and first team head coach and would be commemorating their 107th anniversary on Sunday with a friendly match against fellow GPL side Inter Allies on Sunday at the Tema Sports Stadium.
Klutse believes the Tema-based side will give the Phobians a good fight on Sunday.
Speaking to the club’s website, he says the Capelli Boys are happy with the invitation and will honour the game with much dignity.
“We are very happy to be selected to play against Hearts of Oak in their Anniversary celebration match and we hope to give them a very good match.”
“This is because encounters between Inter Allies and Hearts of Oak have always been competitive and full of surprises.”
"I hope that this time around the game will be very interesting that, the fans will be very happy and well entertained so as at the end of the day, our contribution towards their anniversary game will be remembered,” he told the club’s website.
There is uncertainty about who would be in charge as head coach of that particular game for the Phobians since newly appointed Tim Grant’s appointment takes effect on December 1.
Hearts of Oak’s new gaffer, Grant, played 14 times for the Black Stars and worked with several clubs across several continents including English Championship side West Bromwich Albion.
