Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, has offered valuable advice to aspiring young artistes, urging them to steer clear of smoking and illicit drug use.

In a widely circulated video on social media, Shatta, during his stay in Bolgatanga, passionately implored musicians to prioritize their craft and resist the temptation of substance abuse.

Drawing from personal experiences, Shatta Wale candidly disclosed his observations of friends whose lives have been detrimentally impacted by drug abuse, emphasizing the bleak outcomes it can yield.

Using his own journey as a testament, Shatta Wale revealed, "It's been five months since I last indulged in marijuana. Although people may doubt it, I only consume cigarettes now. When I decide to make a change, I stick to it."

Expanding on his message, the esteemed artiste stressed the importance of self-development while cautioning against the use of substances like Tramadol.

He earnestly expressed, “It’s been five months and I’ve not smoked wee but when I say it people won’t believe me. It is the cigarette I take because when my mind clicks I stop certain things.”

In essence, Shatta Wale's heartfelt plea serves as a poignant reminder for budding talents to prioritize their well-being and artistic pursuits over fleeting indulgences that can potentially derail their journey to success.
