Letter from The President: Who are God's men?

Fri, 4 Aug 2006 Source: J. A. Fukuor/Daily Dispatch

Countrymen and women, loyalists and opponents
I am gravely appalled by what I am going to write about today. It’s not really my favourite subject and I know that my words will touch more than a few sensitive nerves. But, a man has got to say what a man has got to say.
Some weeks ago, when I wrote about Archbishop Nick many of you responded with insults and curses. Insults I can bear. Curses? I don’t really fear them as much as most of you do. Some of you even went as far as to suggest that I should be struck by lightening for daring to criticize the “man of God”. But here I am, alive and poised to criticize the “man of God” again. The Almighty One, being so merciful and wise, has kept me alive. He has a good reason for not striking me with lightening after I criticized “His man”. Perhaps, He wants me to live and say a few bad words against His men so that at least, they will strive to stay on the narrow path and do as He instructs them.
