Big boost for Amateur boxers.

The Great African Insurance Company Limited has given a sponsorship package worth one hundred and ten million cedis to the National Amateur Boxing team, the Black Bombers. The team consisting of eleven boxers will be competing with other African boxing teams at the African Boxing Confederation Tournament due to be held in the Algerian capital, Algiers next month. Announcing the package in Accra, the Chairman of Great African, Mr. Kwesi Akoto said the company will give each boxer who wins a gold medal in any category, one million cedis. The company is also to give a five-year insurance coverage to the Ghana Amateur Boxing Authority starting from this year.
