...as she turns her guns on NDC boys in the Sports Ministry

The Minister for Youth & Sports, Hon. Sena Akua Dansua, has stabbed President

Mills in the back by taking a very reckless decision that the President is

certain to take the flak for.

Quite against popular opinion within the government and the NDC, and against the

directives of the Civil Service Council, she has succeeded in getting the Acting

Head of the Service, Mr. Kemevor, to transfer two senior members of the Sports

Ministry to other ministries.

The first to receive his transfer letter is Mr. Abdulai Yakubu, the Chief

Director at the Ministry. Apart from the fact that he is being transferred at

the whims and caprices of Akua Dansua, he is also being demoted because he is

going to serve as a Director under the Chief Director at the Ministry of Tourism

where he is being transfered to.

The second person who is being transferred to another Ministry to satisfy the

parochial interest of Akua Dansua is Allen Agbenetor, the Acting Head of Human

Resource at the Ministry of Youth & Sports.

INTRASIGENCE!

Intelligence sources told the Daily Post that one Nii Quaye Oko Djani and Mr.

Kemevor ,Acting Head of the Civil Service are in cahoots with the Minister to

get the two senior men out of the Ministry of Sports.

According to sources, Akua Dansua and Oko Djani plotted the transfer before the

former left for the World Cup in South Africa, expecting the two to be out of

the Ministry by the time she returns.

Several people in government and within the NDC who got wind of the plot are

said to have tried calling her to order but she refused wise counsel and went

ahead to execute her unholy agenda.

Not even the advice of the Civil Service Council, that the transfers be not

carried out, would stop the South Dayi MP from kicking out the two to make it

possible for her to have one Mr. Kumor appointed as the new Chief Director of

the Ministry of Youth & Sports.

So, Mr. Kemevor, with the lame excuse that he was under pressure from Akua

Dansua and Oko Djani, signed a letter to Abdullai Yakubu and Allen Agbenetor

transferring them to the Ministries of Tourism and Trade respectively.

CRONYSM

Daily Postintelligence sources have revealed that Akua Dansua’s refusal to see

reason and let Abdullai and Allen be stems from her burning desire to get one

Mr. Kumor, a Director at the Ministry of Roads and Highways appointed as Chief

Director.

Mr. Kumor hails from Northern Volta (the same as Akua Dansua). The two are also

former school mates (they both attended Mawuli Secondary School at Ho). They are

said to be very good friends and it is her desire to balance the ethnic equation

after she replaces Abdullai Yakubu with Kumor that the axe is falling on Allen

Agbenator as well.

By an act of coincidence, the Chief Accountant at the Ministry of Sports, Mr.

Prosper Apasu, is a direct cousin of Akua Dansua. If Mr. Kumor becomes Chief

Director, it will mean that the Minister, Chief Director, Chief Accountant and

Acting Head of Human Resource are all Ewes hence the decision by the Minister to

boot Allen Agbenetor out as well.

UPROAR

Akua Sena Dansua’s decision is generating uproar within the government and the

NDC with many lining up to protest against her decision.

Feelers picked up by this paper indicate also that Mr. Abdullai Yakubu’s

kinsmen, the Andanis, one of the two factions in Dagbon, are seething with anger

over the transfer and have threatened to advise themselves in the 2012 elections

if he is transferred and demoted.

“What is happening to our son is tantamount to adding insult to injury as far as

we Andanis are concerned. Despite our unflinching support for the NDC

government, it has not been able to give us justice so far in the matter of the

murder of the Ya Na. Now, they are turning us into a laughing stock by

transferring and demoting our kinsman for no apparent reason,” an angry Andani

told the Daily Post, confirming the fact that the Andanis are unhappy with the

decision to transfer and demote Abdullai Yakubu.

As for Allen, his fate is said to have incensed many within the government

because he is seen as a conscientious civil servant who served the both the NDC

1 and the NPP governments to the best of his abilities and has so far done same

for the Mills government.

Akua Dansua’s act of cronyism is not only a stab in the back for President

Mills but also the NDC as a party, since, unlike the NPP, it prides itself as one

which abhors cronyism, nepotism and tribalism.
