Exhibition of voters' register opens today

The Electoral Commission (EC) has appealed to the public to come forward with the names of registered voters who have died to enable it to further enhance the credibility of the voters' register. It pointed out that the availability of such information would enable the Commission to purge the register of such ghost names and thus prevent the incidence of impersonation which constitutes an electoral offence during elections in the country. Miss Angela Dowuona, Public Relations Officer of the EC made the appeal on the eve of the commencement of a nation-wide exhibition of the voters' register in an interview with the in Accra yesterday.
