Entertainment pundit and politician, Kwame Obeng Asare, better known as A Plus, has praised Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu for his efforts to promote unity among ethnic groups in Ghana.

He commended Otumfuo for attending the Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II's durbar in Accra, calling it a commendable step towards bringing different ethnic communities together.

In contrast, he criticized President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for failing to maintain unity within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), leading to resignations from disgruntled members.

A Plus highlighted Hopeson Adorye's resignation as a prominent example of unresolved issues within the party.

He urged the president to take a more proactive approach in promoting unity within the party and among different ethnic groups to prevent attracting enemies.

"Otumfuo is uniting ethnic groups. Akufo-Addo cannot unite Hopeson Adorye and NPP! At 80, he still has enemies? Wei," A Plus commented on his Instagram page.

The event honouring Otumfuo showcased diverse cultural performances, celebrating the historic visit of the Asantehene to the Ga state.

During his speech at the Ga Mantse Palace, Otumfuo emphasized that his visit aimed to strengthen the bond between the Ga and Asante people and to overcome any perceived rivalry between the two groups.

The Ga Mantse expressed his gratitude for the Asantehene's support and called for peace and unity in the lead-up to, during, and after the upcoming elections.
