Nana Addo is not a presidential material -MAG

Fri, 8 Oct 2010 Source: Samuel Ablordeppey

Though he overwhelmingly won the bid to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in

the 2012 general elections, the shadows of the past seem to be hunting his

ambitions of becoming Ghana’s President even before campaigns are declared by

the Electoral Commission (EC).

The latest to add to the woes of Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo is a group called

the Media Analyst Group (MAG), according to the group Nana Addo is not fit

enough to be President of Kwame Nkrumah Ghana.

The group alluded that in the round up to elections 2008 the information’s that

came within the NPP to the effect that Nana Addo was a drug addict cannot be

wished away as he himself has not come out to deny those allegations which was

and still is an albatross around his neck.

‘’Indeed, while the NPP was fighting its internal war to elect a flagbearer from

amongst the 17 pretenders, lots of text messages flew around , alleging that

Nana Addo is addicted to drugs’’ the group stated.

The group added that lots of test messages also alleged that Akuffo Addo is a

man of extremely low moral standing and that such a person was not fit and by

extension, not fit to lead Ghana.

At a Press briefing in Accra by the media analyst group to spell out reasons why

Nana Addo isn’t fit to be President the organiser of the group Albert Kojo

Yeboah said, to add salt to his father’s injury the 31-year old daughter of Nana

Addo Fummy Gyankroma Akufo Addo at about on the 21st of august 2010 at about

5:30 am, under the heavy influence of Alcohol, drove into the vehicle of the

Governor of the Bank of Ghana Mr. Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur is a credence to the

fact that Nana Addo is not the type of man that can lead the country.

Albert Kojo Yeboah said instead of 0.08%, Mary Fummy Gyankora Akuffo Addo’

alcohol level was 0.66% which is way above the acceptable limit.

The question therefore is ‘’should we and over Ghana to a man who cannot give

his daughters any proper upbringing? Kojo asked.

‘’Akufo Addo has four daughters and if he cannot manage the upbringing of them,

how on earth can we entrust the destiny of Ghana‘s youth into his hands’’. Kojo

queried.

The organiser of the media analyst group Albert Kojo Yeboah stated that when

Nana Addo was campaigning in 2008 to become President, instead of organising

educative and interactive programs with the youth, he chose a beach party at the

La Pleasure Beach, where loads of young men and women got drunk, smokes wee,

sniffed cocaine, and had indiscriminate sex, adding that those who had the

presence of mind used condoms as the beach was littered with condoms the morning

after the event.

‘’As a President, is this the kind of youth policy that Akufo Addo will pursue?

God forbid. He decried.

He said, ‘’the youth of Ghana belongs to the youth and if we have a president

who will allow the youth to become drunkards and junkies, where lies the future

of Ghana. Kojo submitted.

The organiser of the media analyst, stated that his group is highly disappointed

at the way some of the media ‘’ignore’’ or turn a ‘’blind eye’’ on the

misdemeanour of Akufo Addo’s ‘’drunkard’’ daughter.

‘’we shudder to imagine the way the media would have salivated and gleefully

paid 100% attention to the issue were it to be the son of President Atta Mills

who did what Fummy did’’ Kojo fumed.

He said ‘’ the Presidential candidate of the NPP for the 2012 elections had

given Ghanaians enough reason to believe that he has been an irresponsible

father and urged Ghanaians to ensure he is not given the mandate to destroy the

destiny of the country’s youth. Kojo concluded.

A member of the group who is popularly known as Carlos said, ‘’Nana Addo should

come clear of the cocaine allegations and not leave the issue for his

spokespersons’’
