Thirteen Ghanaian crew on board M.V.A Hooligan Star of Ghana yesterday stormed the office of Standard Times in a desperate bid to register their frustration over the attitude of their management. Speaking individually to this reporter, the thirteen fishermen accused their bosses of refusing to pay their salaries for the past sixteen months.

The desperate crew said they have suffered a lot during the past sixteen months with no money for food or medication.

They intimated this reporter of how they contacted a Freetown solicitor, Miss Vivian Solomon as a move to get their salaries paid and subsequently flown back home.

The angry crew pointed fingers at their immediate captain, Mr Emile K.Fayose who they referred to as a conspirator, working around the clock with his principals in Ghana to convert their salaries to their own personal use.

Report say upon consultation and instruction received, Lawyer Vivian Solomon was quick to file a suit in the Freetown High Court, dragging Captain Fayose to court being representative of the owners of the cargo.

The matter is said to have been heard at the high court presided over by Justice Samuel Ademusu.

After listening to both parties the court is said to have ruled in favour of the crew. In his ruling Justice Ademusu ordered that the vessel M.V.

Hooligan be impounded and offered for sale in order to pay all salaries due the thirteen crew. Report also said that while prosecuting counsel was finding ways to sell the cargo another notable lawyer, Mr Terrance Terry was yesterday said to have filed an application for a stay of execution while the crew continues to suffer.

The stranded Ghanaian crew are Francis E. Kinful, Kenneth Offismarto, Greenfield E. Hamyaboi, Ibrahim Nelson Ofeng, Richard Koomson, Clarence K.Aglah, Charles K Duodu, James Kpodo, Harere Agbor, Abdul. R. Issaka, Alexander Tsimese and Nosh Hayford.

Report says the Ghanaian High Commissioner attempted to resolve the matter but to no avail.
