Yeah though we walk through the valley of pepeni death we shall fear no ayigbe evil for the Lord stands by the children of Akan and Israel always . We shall forever remain blessed and despite the trials and tribulations served to us by this aboaba kwasea pepeni and murderous intent of the ayigbe we shall triumph. No matter what they do victory shall be ours for God has most certainly made them blind so they lack any wisdom and see no solutions . These pagan ungodly souls have lied and stolen from us on a daily basis but their days are surely numbered . Somebody quickly remind them i am still waiting in vain to be arrested or see the effects of their juju which they promised because we told our people to prepare for revolution and war . Today its clear the pepeni have armed themselves so we also begin to arm ourselves against these criminals, if you can not buy a licensed gun then make sure you sharpen your cutlasses well and keep them well polished and oiled . pepeni has appointed his incompetent criminal friends , family and tribesmen into various positions of state , little do they know that its not about building empty meaningless careers but they should know its a duty to serve the interests of the people and seek the well-being prosperity of all citizens regardless of stature , religious affiliation , ethnic background , age or gender . They plan and scheme to steal our oil and any wealth we are able to create. they work to systematically destroy even the basic family unit by try to thrush down our throats perverse gay homosexual values as being the ideal .They do not see the beauty of the unity in diversity of the various tribes of Akan rather they encourage and facilitate conflict amongst ourselves but it will not work as our people are now more sophisticated than that as no one is blind to their divide and rule tactics except the few idiots who think they build a political career in the oligarchy which has now crossed over into all parties . Be strong and vigilant oh children of Akan as our day draws nigh . long live the republic of Akan

Instructive piece. I must say efforts to boost domestic tourism are already underway. Tourist clubs have been, and are being formed in schools. A pilot project dubbed "Every child, a tourism enthusiast" is ongoing, aimed at catching the young ones now.
Effective 2011, there has been the introduction of what has been christened "Ambassadorial tours" preceding World Tourism Day celebrations. The initiative seeks to get the diplomatic and corporate world to be interested in tourism and to help in improving tourist infrastructure.
Come Wednesday April 2, 2014, there will be a mega launch of a domestic tourism promotion project dubbed "Explore Ghana", at the National Theatre at 10:00am. This will be followed immediately, after the launch, with a city tour of some attractions in Accra, with different buses moving in different directions to different sites.
Welcome aboard

A POTENTIAL TOURIST MUST TRAVEL MANY MILES TO ATTEND INTERVIEWS, EMBASSY ASKS FOR PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPHS, NONE OF WHICH APPEARS ON THE VISA, VISA HAND WRITTEN, AND YOU PAY SO MUCH. WHEN YOU VISIT SERIOUS TOURIST COUNTRIES, YOU PAY A TOKEN FEE AT THE AIRPORT ON ARRIVAL.

Apart from all that we have Nkruma a great Pan Africanist to market. Israelis are not Christians but promote Jerusalem in the name of Christ , but we have buffons who wil rather insult Nkrumah daily , instead of marketing him. That is a Milk cow for us. Then recently Adebayor was called " King Adebayor " He was coming to play with Togo in Ghana and a Ghanain says " Trokosis in Town" How can we promote tourism with such attitudes. Where is the private enterprise that they tout so much. They are brain dead

You forgot the high cost of hotels in the country; hotels in Ghana on a broad scale cost more than on Miami beach, -- where a hotel as good as Labadi beach would charge as little as $35, as compared to $350 here in Ghana. As you rightly quoted "CHARITY MUST BEGIN AT HOME"; the Tourist Board must start it's campaign at home; make tourism affordable and attractive at home!

There once was a rich man who was near death. He was very grieved because he had worked so hard for his money and he wanted to be able to take it with him to heaven. So he began to pray that he might be able to take some of his wealth with him.
An angel hears his plea and appears to him. "Sorry, but you can't take your wealth with you." The man implores the angel to speak to God to see if He might bend the rules.
The man continues to pray that his wealth could follow him. The angel reappears and informs the man that God has decided to allow him to take one suitcase with him. Overjoyed, the man gathers his largest suitcase and fills it with pure gold bars and places it beside his bed.
Soon afterward the man dies and shows up at the Gates of Heaven to greet St. Peter. St. Peter seeing the suitcase says, "Hold on, you can't bring that in here!"
But, the man explains to St. Peter that he has permission and asks him to verify his story with the Lord. Sure enough, St. Peter checks and comes back saying, "You're right. You are allowed one carry-on bag, but I'm supposed to check its contents before letting it through."
St. Peter opens the suitcase to inspect the worldly items that the man found too precious to leave behind and exclaims, "You brought pavement?!!

A major tourist attraction that remains untapped is also the leisure that a dredged and sanitized korle-lagoon can generate. That long stretch of park from the Korle-Bu Traffic light to ICGC is a potential leisure park that could even habour many leisure spots. Combine that with boat rides on the lagoon, perfect!! Unfortunately this one looks impossible until the Sodom and Gomorrah and the 'Lavender' situations are removed the entire city is re-organised in terms of filth collection and transportation
