Akwasi Addai aka Odike, presidential candidate of the United Progressive Party (UPP), has criticised President John Mahama for not being a listening leader, an unfortunate development he claimed has plunged the country into a myriad of challenges.
Without mincing words, Odike whose Toyota Hilux pick-up was seized by NDC activists on Tuesday disclosed that he was aware that numerous good counsel given to the president by some individuals to help solve the myriad of problems facing the country had been rejected by the president.
He said people like him had on countless occasions offered free advice to the NDC leader but the president refused to heed their counsel.
Odike, who was a staunch supporter of President Mahama, noted that he doesn’t feel comfortable about the deplorable state Ghana currently finds itself due to bad leadership, lamenting that all good advice he had given the president had fallen on deaf ears.
“What can I do if the president is not ready to listen to my free advice to help save the country from the path of destruction?” he asked while speaking in an interview with Kofi Asante of Nhyira FM in Kumasi.
Of late the UPP leader has been attacking the Mahama administration, leading to NDC activists, led by Appiah Stadium and Francis Dodovi, seizing a vehicle he was allegedly given by Ibrahim Mahama, brother of the president.
Speaking at a stakeholders' forum on the electoral register held Thursday at the Alisa Hotel in Accra Thursday, Ayariga stated that allegations of foreigners on the register made by the NPP must be subjected to strict proof.
According to him, it would be unwise to compile a new register when existing mechanisms which can be used to make the voters’ register credible have not been exhausted.

Odike Car Arrest
Odike’s car being towed away from Golden Tulip. INSET: Akwasi Addai aka ‘Odike
Presidential candidate of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Akwasi Addai aka ‘Odike’, was yesterday subjected to public humiliation when his Toyota Hilux Pick-up vehicle was seized by known President John Mahama boys in Kumasi.
Appiah Stadium, known in political circles as ‘the President’s Son’, and Francis Dodovi, an outspoken NDC parliamentary aspirant at Suame in Kumasi, snatched the vehicle, registered GM 4718-12, at the Golden Tulip around 3pm.
The two NDC members alleged that Odike, in 2012, whilst he was the presidential candidate of United Front Party (UFP), made a request for the cars from President Mahama, with a firm assurance that he would openly support the NDC to win the polls.
Appiah Stadium and Dodovi argued that Odike, after taking delivery of two Pick-up vehicles and an undisclosed amount of money, failed to campaign for the NDC as promised; hence their decision to take the vehicle from him.
They stated that the vehicle, which was towed from the Golden Tulip to the Central Police Station in Kumasi, would be given back to Ibrahim Mahama, a brother of President Mahama, who gave it to Odike in 2012.
The action of the NDC boys was necessitated by Odike’s recent attacks on the Mahama administration for its poor handling of the economy.
His party, UPP, recently joined the chorus for a new voters’ register against the NDC’s position.
Odike was said to be cooling off at the Lounge Bar of the Golden Tulip when the two angry-looking NDC men approached him and demanded the car’s ignition key, but the UPP founder and leader refused to yield to their unexpected demand.
After it became clear that Odike was not ready to surrender the car key, Appiah Stadium and Dodovi reportedly engaged the services of a towing vehicle which towed the Pick-up van to the Central Police Station.
Confirming the incident to DAILY GUIDE, Appiah Stadium claimed that he led Odike to President Mahama prior to the 2012 elections, where he (Odike) begged for support from the President.
According to him, Odike, at that time, assured the President that if the vehicle was given to him, he would campaign massively to help the NDC get more votes in order to hang onto political power and steer the affairs of the state.
Appiah Stadium claimed that President Mahama ordered them to go to his brother, Ibrahim Mahama, at the Gold House in Accra, who handed the two brand new Toyota Hilux Pick-up vans to Odike to begin working for the NDC.
According to him, the presidency also ordered several affluent people to support Odike’s campaign with cash, adding that the UPP leader was also made to import his goods into the country free of import duties.
Appiah Stadium observed that Odike, after benefitting hugely from the NDC administration, shockingly refused to fulfil his promise to President Mahama and the NDC administration.
According to him, Odike after taking the cars in 2012 refused to campaign for President Mahama. “I watched him closely. He only started saying good things about President Mahama after he realised that the NDC had won the polls.”
He said what worried him most was Odike’s recent verbal attacks on President Mahama on radio stations in Kumasi, saying, “He recently lambasted President Mahama for lacking ideas to develop the country.”
Appiah Stadium stated that he had realised that Odike, after benefitting immensely from the NDC government, wanted to switch to the NPP ahead of the 2016 elections “and this is unfair on his part”.

Kakistocracy is defined as a form of government by worst people and that is what we have in this Mahama Ndc administration. Ghana couldn't have asked anything worst than this corrupt riddle administration and the only reason this government is even thinking of winning the 2016 election is because Npp, the only viable alternative to this useless and corrupt 'Mafialike' government itself is in the throes of implosion.
It has been two days since Appiah Stadium, known in political circles as ‘the President’s Son’, and Francis Dodovi, an outspoken NDC parliamentary aspirant at Suame in Kumasi, snatched a vehicle, registered GM 4718-12, at the Golden Tulip around 3pm from Akwasi Addai aka ‘Odike’ Presidential candidate of the United Progressive Party (UPP) in the 2012 elections and no politician has since commented on what in any matured democracy would have resulted in a Presidential investigation that might lead to impeachment and removal of the President.
According to Appiah Stadium, known in political circles as ‘the President’s Son’, he took Akwasi Addae Odike to the President prior to the 2012 election to pledge his support for President Mahama in exchange for financial benefits which included two vehicles and a lot of money. This, folks, is not my beef since such a gratuity can be defended as a personal gift. What Appiah stadium has alleged that makes it a crime and potential impeachment is how the President has supposedly used his influence to allow Kwasi Addae Odike to import goods into the country without paying import taxes and duties. Below is what Appiah stadium said on Adom Radio and reported by `Daily Guide.
"Confirming the incident to DAILY GUIDE, Appiah Stadium claimed that he led Odike to President Mahama prior to the 2012 elections, where he (Odike) begged for support from the President.According to him, Odike, at that time, assured the President that if the vehicle was given to him, he would campaign massively to help the NDC get more votes in order to hang onto political power and steer the affairs of the state.
Appiah Stadium claimed that President Mahama ordered them to go to his brother, Ibrahim Mahama, at the Gold House in Accra, who handed the two brand new Toyota Hilux Pick-up vans to Odike to begin working for the NDC.
According to him, the presidency also ordered several affluent people to support Odike’s campaign with cash, adding that the UPP leader was also made to import his goods into the country free of import duties."
Folks, Appiah Stadium very close to the President and this administration having himself benefitted immensely from his serial calling duties with at least two cars we know of and a house for just jumping from one radio station to another ranting about the achievements of this administration.
Appiah Stadium, known in political circles as ‘the President’s Son being an illiterate and a mental midget or a windbag did not realize what he was saying will give credence to what a lot of Ghanaians know about President Mahama as being corrupt.
If we have to believe what Appiah Stadium said and there is no reason to doubt him since one of the trucks was retrieved from Akwasi Addae Odike, then Mahama soliciting cash support for Odike to support him masquerading as a Presidential candidate himself with an enticement of cash and freedom from paying DUTIES and TAXES he Odike owes to the country is a crime perpetrated on Ghanaians by the President.
The Bureau of National Investigation(BNI) should initiate an investigation into this episode and arrest Akwasi Addae Odike for failing to pay duties and taxes for goods he imported into the country.
The Parliamentary Select Committee should also initiate investigation into this matter and use the information gathered to initiate an article of impeachment against President Mahama.
If Akwasi Addae Odike with a useless Party can get such a bumper financial deal from the President, one wonders how much Hassan Ayariga, the PNP Presidential candidate was paid to behave like a coughing crane dunderhead during the IEA debate in 2012. No wonder Akua Donkor has joined the Mahama kakistocracy government.
One wonders why cars given to Odike in 2012 is now being retrieved. According to Appiah Stadium, Odike did not fulfill his end of the bargain and his recent attack on the Presidency precipitated his action to retrieve the cars.
"Appiah Stadium observed that Odike, after benefitting hugely from the NDC administration, shockingly refused to fulfil his promise to President Mahama and the NDC administration.According to him, Odike after taking the cars in 2012 refused to campaign for President Mahama. “I watched him closely. He only started saying good things about President Mahama after he realised that the NDC had won the polls. He said what worried him most was Odike’s recent verbal attacks on President Mahama on radio stations in Kumasi, saying, “He recently lambasted President Mahama for lacking ideas to develop the country.Appiah Stadium stated that he had realised that Odike, after benefitting immensely from the NDC government, wanted to switch to the NPP ahead of the 2016 elections “and this is unfair on his part".
Odike we all remember was singing Mahama praises like a canary during the 2012 campaign so it is not because he did not support Mahama in 2012 rather Mahama and his administration might have cut him off from his windfall and ODIKE has seen how the country is being destroyed economically.
Ghanaians should yearn for a Timocracy government instead of the Kakistocracy Ndc administration we have now. Mahama is corrupt, he has turned Ghana into a family business with Ibrahim Mahama and RLG Agambire and destroying the economy for personal graft.

The President elect of our dear country, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has assured the harum-scarum Ndc party members that he will not witch hunt any member of the annihilated party and the Mahama government and that is in the right order. Witch hunting is not what we need. What is the meaning of witch hunt? Webster dictionary defines witch hunt as;
Definition of witch hunt
1. a searching out for persecution of persons accused of witchcraft
2.the searching out and deliberate harassment of those (as political opponents) with unpopular views.
What his Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo meant is that, he will not harass anybody in Ndc who have not stolen from Ghanaian Taxpayers. His Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo is not a tyro when it comes to governance so he will do things according to the laws of Ghana and will definitely do "WIZARD HUNT"
Folks, "wizard hunt" is a new term from me meaning, going after real thieves in the Mahama administration and the Ndc Party that have stolen billions of dollars through contract manipulated figures, sole sourcing contracts that inflated the cost of projects like the Burkina Faso one million dollars wall over a parcel of land.
The incoming administration was voted into power partly because of the thrasonical behavior of people like Koku Anyidoho, Solomon Nkansah, Dr. Omane Boamah and others who behaved as if Ghana belong to them because of their ill-gooten wealth and it will be a travesty of justice if the incoming administration allow these people to walk away and enjoy their booties in peace.
The Mahama government was embroiled in so many financial scandals the incoming government needs to set up a special Prosecutors offices in every region to deal with the unprecedented stealing that went on in that government because leaving that work for the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General's office will bog down the function of that Ministry.
The mansuetude of our religious love should not be a basis to allow criminals who deprived the poor in our society of what is theirs due to their kleptomanic nature to go free.
How can we justify to generation unborn how we allowed Woyome to walk away with about twenty million dollars($25million) because his party was in power?
How can we allow Asiedu Nketiah, the NDC General Secretary to insult our sensibilities by telling us a friend built their twenty million Party Headquarters but he will not tell Ghanaians who this friend is? What did the so called friend get for giving them a twenty million dollars gift in the form of the Party Office? Even billionaires don't throw their monies away like that let alone a phantom friend. We should investigate all these fraudulent deals.
It is only in Mahama government that when you steal and got caught, you the criminal decicides the payment method by arranging installmet payment plan of returning the money stolen. When Roger Agambire and others were caught stealing more than forty million dollars, instead of being prosecuted and the money retrieved, Mahama government decided not to prosecute him and others and instead arranged payment installment plan with them which in all probability they didn't pay.
Now this Roger Agambire who is President Mahama's business partner is domiciled in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and taking care of their properties in that country and Mahama will tell Ghanaians he was fighting corruption.
The same thing happened in the bus branding fraudulent deal by the Transportation Minister, Ativor who colluded with the girlfriend of the big Boss to dupe the country. Hopefully Ativor who advised her tribesmen to vote for Ndc to retain power for her to avoid prison has not crossed the border yet.
If Npp failed to pursue these criminals, there will be a catalysm in Ghana. This incoming government has an opportunity to weed out corruption in society by making it unprofitable by prosecuting all those found to have stolen money from the government and sending them to prison without any compassion. Our "FAMA NYAME" attitude should be locked up in the brain closet where it belongs or should be released sent out for permanent vacation outside Ghana.
