Black Stars new boy Emmanuel Boateng registered his first international goal at senior level in his debut game for the team in a 2-0 friendly win against Japan on Wednesday, May 3 at the Nissan Stadium.
Stop-gap captain Thomas Partey gave the Black Stars the lead in nine minutes with a superb free kick 20 meters away from the Japanese goal after Boateng was brought down by Tomoaki Makino.
Boateng then added the second in the 51st through the spot kick after he was brought down in the penalty area by goalie Eiji Kwashima.
