There is a free flow of vehicles within the Accra metropolis due to the 'temporal ban' on traders to suspend business today as the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) embarks on a disinfection exercise.

On a tour by the news team to some lorry stations, some commercial vehicle drivers popularly known as ‘trotro’ drivers at the 37 station who looked all poised for business had little or no work to do as their cars were only dotted with a handful of passengers.

However, in some areas within Accra Central where commerce is very brisk, ‘trotro’ businesses have had the rippling effect of the disinfection exercise.

Some drivers are on temporary leave as they have parked their cars at either the station or by the roadside.

Also, businesses within the Kwame Nkrumah Circle and Newtown enclave have slowed down because most of their ‘clienteles’ are traders who are currently adhering to the directives spelt out to them by the AMA to stay home.

Passengers who thronged various bus stops waited for long for commercial vehicles to get to their various workplaces.
