  Let us try to avoid our myopic thinking! History tells us that we have all, once upon a time, came from elsewhere and settled where we found ourselves today and called our hometowns. For instance, the narrative about the ancient shifting cultivation tells a big story relative to our discussion. Also read about the story of people running away from wars and settling in different places. Our Ashanti story is typical as far as this issue is concerned. We migrated from around the Mali/Sudan areas and settled in Ghana because of wars. Let us not always be trumpeting our views that the earliest people in Egypt were blacks and Arabs came to expel them.
