  African countries will continue to struggle despite having vast amounts of natural resources. The only pathway to success is for African countries to give up their embrace of corruption; stop clinging to an antiquated tradition of polygamy; stop sending African leaders to European countries for medical treatment and instead fund local hospitals to improve on the quality of care for the general public; have a meaning family plan; along with the leaders using their so-called education to plan better for the development of their countries; adopt laws that allows governments to be open instead of being closed while the same thieving politicians deviously make noise about lack of open government; and allow for the growth of independent media instead of the sham media found today, media that is of ten either owned by thieving politicians or the crooked cronies of the thieving politicians. A media that is not independent cannot or will not engage in the pursuit of truth within government. As a former Head of State, Obasanjo can easily talk directly to these in power to implement steps to make their governments open. It's convenient to spend time leading a nation and wasting time marrying multiple wives while having enough children to make up a village, then make noise about what is good for African countries when that leader should have been working to put these ideas into place while that leader was running his country.
