  The name should be there as a deterrent to democratic rulers who come to power and change the constitution. Let's tell the truth of the story. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah changed the constitution and made himself a life president, started jailing people without trial, had is own Russian trained army, neglected the Ghana armed forces & was ruling by decree. We refused to tell dark side. Kotoka was a divine intervention. The number of people that were killed and dumped on the Adonten-Aburi Nsawam stretch & the disappearance of Dede Ashikensha''s daughter. After the coup how she was found. Nkrumah was the greatest African & not the greatest Ghanaian, if not, the citinzery would have poured on the street to demand his return, there would have been civil disobedience. He was a champion of his time, he was visionary & it was most unfortunate the opposition didn't give him the chance. It was crime to call his name in his final years, he deviated from the Almighty and drifted into the dark cult as most African leaders do. His overthrow was a big celebration by his ministers. Let as not paint him as a saint. Again, Kotoka was killed at the area of the airport then. He wasn't a coup maker, he was a liberator. The name should stand. Let's see what the NDC is trying to achieve by the radical name change.
