Abaaa! So how many times will Margaret Simpson quit Ghana sports? She has said it over and over again and unfortunately the media keeps going back to the same issue. When Ignisious Gaisah quit Ghana, he went ahead to compete for the Netherlands right away. Why won't Margaret Simpson just do same? This is a question for the media, when was the last time Simpson competed for Ghana? That was way back in 2012. We have moved on. Ghana now has Elizabeth Dadzie and others competing and winning medals in Africa and the USA. Stop wasting our time with this story!!!

We are proud to have produced outstanding athlete like her even under our poverty condition.

It is unfortunate most of our athletes don't value their chosen profession as a career but rather a favour they're doing the Ghanaian tax payer for which reason, all the country's resources must be dumped on them.

Their peers elsewhere in the world treat athletics as a career and put in all their best to brand themselves. They only use their country's as platforms to market and enhance their brand image.

But the story is not the same for Ghanaian athletes. They don't see it as a career or profession.

We hope her new country will give her all the economic resources she wishes for.

Yes many athletes over the decades have at one time or another not been paid money owed to them. It is nothing new. If she wants to quit Ghana she should go. We thank her for her service but enough of these threats that she never follows through on. We all "tirer some" so don't expect too many tears.
