Ghanaian Highlife/Hiplife artiste Akoo Nana known in real life as William Ato Ankrah has exposed the putrid and untidy state the rehearsal studio for Ghana musician at the head office of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) in Accra is in.
Akoo Nana in a video post on Facebook lamented bitterly about the poor state of the studio currently and how much of a dent that is on the reputation of the Union and musicians in Ghana.
According to the ‘World Cup’ hit singer, he was previously denied access to rehearse in the studio because they knew he could expose how disorganized and rickety the equipments are.
‘The rehearsal studio stinks with a pungent smell and there’s nothing like a window curtain, but they rather used cloth.
‘The studio stinks with rat faecal, all the equipment are rusty, they knew Akoo Nana will expose them so they told my ‘PA’ the place is locked whilst it was opened, he stressed.
Barely a month ago, Akoo Nana jabbed Obour for spending musician’s royalties, accusing Obour and his administration of being neglectful and only making efforts to help when musicians get sick or die and yet drives around in big cars and lives in comfortable homes with the hard earned monies of these persons.
‘Obour doesn't care and have respect for Ghanaian artistes and also not being serious with his responsibilities at MUSIGA, musicians must seat up and fight for what is theirs.
Akoo Nana stated emphatically that the president of the Musican Union, Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour is a big joke, who cannot afford a common bucket of paint to refurbish the rehearsal studio.
He however alleged that Obour and his administration are crippled with corruption for which reason investors are lacking in the industry.
