Afro pop musician, Kojo Antwi has been branded for some time now as a number one crowd-puller, with his sold-out concerts worldwide, Kojo this time round decided to stage his 24th nite concert in his motherland.

Freedom Spirit with Ghana International Airlines, Buzz GSM, Joy FM, Star Beer, and Rhino Energy drink as sponsors put up the perfect concert to mark the end of the year.

A lot of people who had missed Kojo Antwi were really prepared for this mammoth event which hadn’t taken place for two years now.

The show was set to be headlined by Mr. Music Man, himself, Monique Seka (Ivory Coast), Flavour, Jonje, Commissioned Family, Nana Yaa, King Mensah (Togo), Winneba Youth Choir and Nkasei. Daasebre Gyamena’s absence on the bill did not take much from the show.

Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) this time round showcased one of Accra’s most sought after event which normally takes place at the National Theater.

Kojo Antwi’s show dubbed “African Music Festival” was a great one and I was personally awed by his raw talent and live band, his beautiful voice and mastery control over the crowd. At last, 24th Nite saw the maestro on stage again.

Flavour set the ball rolling, with the Commissioned Family also dishing out some good gospel tunes from their recent album.

In another moving highlight, Ivory Coast diva, Monique Seka sang French love songs and even dedicated a song to all the ladies in the auditorium. King Mensah from Togo also dazzled the audiences with some Ewe songs and dances.

Nkasei who caused so much controversy with their album, ‘Tuobodom’ exhibited their talent well with songs like ‘Monkey Chop Banana’, ‘New Girl in Town’, and everyone’s favourite, ‘Tuobodom’.

Speaking to one of the organizers on phone, he said everything went on well as expected and they were content with what they had.

Kojo really lived up to expectation on that day as he sang songs from all his albums to the jam-packed crowd that trooped the venue to catch a glimpse of Kojo Antwi.

Of course, Ghana Music.com will be bringing to you pictures from the event soon.
