Anthony Simpson dares music duo Keche

Chanel Manager of Faith TV and Vocal Trainer, Pastor Anthony Simpson has dared music duo Keche to go back and properly inquire from their old management team Spyderlee Entertainment the worth of the resources assigned to projecting the brand to its current status.

Reacting to a recent interview the “Aluguntugui” hit-makers conducted on Pluzz FM’s breakfast show, “AM Pluzz” which suggests that Spyderlee Entertainment ripped them off their hustle, on Prime 89.1’s Showbiz Prime, the Channel Manager blatantly uttered that no record label would give you 90% of what you earn as an artiste.

“Record labels make their money not from sale of your album but from your live shows and performances and what we must understand is that, a manager would always deduct all the funds invested into projecting a particular brand before splitting the profits in terms of percentage, based on your contract.

Keche shouldn’t tickle themselves and laugh that they were cheated by their previous management but must understand that a record label cannot give you all the money you earned a night without thinking of what to use in branding, transport, recording, clothing and other future occurrences.

Artiste management comes with all these, so I dare Keche to come out and confirm whether Spyderlee Entertainment failed to do all this", he stated.

He revealed that a lot of artistes have the perception that once your song is enjoying airplay then it automatically means your manager is earning a lot but unfortunately, our setting is different since our copyrights structure is still in progress and does not make it so.

He further added that artistes must always push for contractual agreement before going into any deal.

“The ignorance of our artistes is making a lot of record labels take advantage of them. If they are to take Spyderlee on in terms of the amount invested in the brand I bet you, Keche would walk home with nothing", Pastor Anthony Simpson concluded.
