Araz fights for better Ghana

Hiplife artiste Peter Aryee, known in showbiz circles as Araz, whose controversial song ‘Everybody Hates Ghana’ caused a stir on the music scene, has declared that unless artistes in Ghana come together to work as a team the music industry would continue to witness frustrations.

He stated that he believes in Ghana and also believed that unity among musicians would encourage investors to invest in the music industry.

He said: “I believe in Ghana and anybody who also believes in Ghana will be ready to sacrifice to build a better Ghana so that in future our children will enjoy life.”

He noted that he would continue to use music to educate people against social vices as well as encourage them to believe that Ghana has a bright future.

Araz, whose single ‘Oseyie’ is being aired by all the local radio stations in the metropolis, shot into limelight when he released “Laimomo” at the time hiplife was gaining roots in Ghana and other countries.

He followed it up with a remix of ‘Laimomo’ from the studios of Jay Q and the controversial album “Everybody Hate Ghana”.

Araz told Beatwaves: “I am putting my best into music in order to come out with good songs that will educate the masses on issues affecting the society, because I believe in Ghana. That is my dream and I will make sure I achieve the ultimate.”

Commenting on his song ‘Ekan Titi Suban’, Araz said it encourages women and men to desist from divorce.

Araz owes his increasing popularity to Bola Ray of Joy FM who acted as his public relations officer, JQ, Kwame B of Hitz FM and others.

Araz happens to be one of the few hiplife stars in the country who are working tirelessly to keep the flame of hiplife music burning.

His albums have a lot of danceable songs like ‘Ghana Mmaa’, ‘Ghana Bra Behywe Wekyi’, ‘Everybody Hate Ghana’ among others. He combines hiplife, highlife and R&B music genres in his album, saying, this is to give his music a global appeal.
