Ataa Tei: The Brain Behind Nature Works Entertainment

Ataa Tei and his Virginia based Nature Works Entertainment have been instrumental in making and helping many artistes out with their albums and 2 Toff is no exception. In a period of two years, 2 Toff has been embraced by the Ghanaian music scene.

Samuel T. Doku better known as Ataa Tei (Chief Executive Producer of Nature Works Entertainment) in an interview said that he knew he had the talent to executively produce real good music that can change the phase of the Ghanaian music industry.

Thus, he took it upon himself to let the two buddies (Red Eye and Ogunskele) in Virginia out of the ?bag? onto the music world forming the group 2 Toff, which later had other members like D- Blaze and Ashitey joining the 2 Toff camp.

Red Eye and Ogunskele have been the total package for Nature Works Entertainment releasing their second album title 'Odo Mu Nsemsem'. Others are yet to come as Nature Works has already nurtured 10 groups in Ghana and 14 in the US.

Nature Works will in no time be recognized as one of the biggest labels for coming up with new artiste(s) and groups, getting albums completed and delivered and making sure they are successful as possible. Talk of ideas, business minded Ataa Tei has got them and the years ahead will see Nature Works on top of the music ladder.

Sit back, relax, grab a bottle of chilled beer and join me as I talk to Ataa Tei in his Kaneshie based studio.

Ghana Music.com: Could you please tell us about yourself?

Ataa Tei: Am the Chief Executive Producer & founder of Nature Works Entertainment.

Ghana Music.com: Apart from music do you have another profession?

Ataa Tei: I am an Army Security Officer.

Ghana Music.com: Then why did you decide to venture into the music area?

Ataa Tei: I knew I had the talent to produce real good music thus took that initiative.

Ghana Music.com: Where was Nature Works officially outdoored?

Ataa Tei: In the States with 14 groups and we now have 10 groups being handled in Ghana.

Ghana Music.com: Apart from making music, what does Nature Works offer?

Ataa Tei: Nature Works Entertainment is not only about music as painted in the media. We do movies, comics and commercials.

Ghana Music.com: What will you say makes you stand tall among other studios?

Ataa Tei: We come out with new skills, fashion and a lot which is unique and unseen and you know what, we are doing our best to get to the international scene and also help other artistes reach international heights.

I would be diverting my energy and monies generated from our music to help orphans and cripples. Watch Out! Nature Works will be giving out scholarships very soon.

Ghana Music.com: What do you have to say about 2 Toff's latest album?

Ataa Tei: It's classic. In fact, an album that talks about reality. I mean the storylines are things that happen in marriages. When you get a feel of the songs, you?ll get to know that patience conquers all marital problems.

Ghana Music.com: Is the album out and where can listeners and fans get copies?

Ataa Tei: Yes it?s out. Call 233 24 421 7058 (Ghana), 703 768 1277 (USA), and 788 784 7763 (UK) for copies. Let me add our postal address too; 3218 Clayborne Avenue Alexandria, VA 22306-1405.

Ghana Music.com: Do you have anything to say about the media in Ghana?

Ataa Tei: New artistes can never progress because most of the radio and TV stations demand a lot of money. In a way, they don't help. Agreements have to be signed between the artistes and the media houses.

Ghana Music.com: Your final words, Ogbami (another name for Ataa Tei)

Ataa Tei: Most thanks to the Almighty for bringing this far, my parents and siblings, listeners and fans of 2 Toff. To all musicians, let?s all come together so as to project Ghanaian music onto the international market.
