The move by the organizers to have a 30?minute break during the show was a good intent but little did they know that the break would cause fisticuffs between sections of the audience over the seats.
There was sporadic fighting among the audience when people decided to occupy seats that were not theirs before the break. In one instance, two ladies occupied the seats of a couple and refused to vacate the seats upon the request of the couple.
It generated into a nasty scene as the gentleman heckled and virtually threw the ladies out of the seats amidst cheers and jeers from the audience. And in another incident, a gentleman also occupied the seat belonging to a lady, but he blatantly refused to vacate the seat and this also resulted in a fierce confrontation.
The police who were there to beef up security were called to intervene but their presence did not deter the gentleman. ?No one has written his name on the seats,? he blurted out.
It had to take the likes of Kwame Sefa Kayi who was a co-MC to intervene strongly before the gentleman reluctantly got up from the seat and he was booed heavily by the audience.
The unfortunate incident did not take anything away from the show.
Ofori Amposah undoubtedly gave the best performance of his music career. Many people were sceptical about his performance since he was not accustomed to live bands going into the concert - but not only was he able to pull it off, he brought the roof of the auditorium down.
He shut the critics up with such an impressive performance much to the delight of the audience. Everything from organization to performances from the artistes on the bill was flawless. Praye, Wutah and Kwaku Gyasi did well but Kwaisee Pee was splendid and above all Ofori Amponsah was exceptional. And the band? Those guys were simply excellent and they contributed so much to the success of the show.
