HotJam, one of Ghana’s hottest and most promising hip hop acts has released a new single called “Move back” produced by Alberto. The song is a reaction to the affirmation of faith that his fans and Ghana’s hip hop community have put in him.
It is also symbolic of his readiness to go toe to toe with the crème de la crème of the music industry as he plans to go main stream with his music. No stranger to the spotlight, HotJam was a member of Boothcamp while in high school the group was so good that they were able to get D-Black & Killmatic on a single which they called “Doggy Dance”.
After that the members of the group went solo and HotJam again hit the headlines when he won the 4syte rap battle arcade against all odds. In his first year in University (KNUST) he released the “Lost Verses” Mixtape hosted by Dred-W. It received a lot of good reviews on social media platforms.
He then went on to release 2 singles which are “Wosop” ft Gemini and “Turn It Up” produced by Dred-W and Nel_Magnum respectively. He then decided to try his hands at afropop/azonto and collaborated with Edem on a tune called “My Time” once again produced by “Dred W” the song received good airplay and became very popular among students of Tertiary institutions across the country.
HotJam, recently signed to Content Ink, the management outfit responsible for Gasmilla’s teaming success. His influences include Nas, Tupac Shakur, J Cole, Kendrick Lamar and reps MixDown studios owned by C-Real. He aims to become one of the most respected rappers in Africa and ultimately the world.
