Fans of Awal have read meanings into his latest single "Prodigal son" stating that it's an apology song to Sarkodie.

In a live video on Facebook fans of the BBF hitmaker came at him, claiming his "prodigal son" is directed to the famed rapper Sarkodie who is also known as Awal's godfather in the music industry.

Many of Awal's following believe that "prodigal son" is a means to make up with his father, owing to the fact that some few years back, Awal and Sarkodie were rumoured of having bad blood due to Sarkodie's failure to sign the young rapper to his record label, Sarkcess Music.

In clearing the air, Awal stated contrary to what his fans are alleging. He disclosed that "prodigal son" was released to help mend the relationship between sons and fathers especially those who find it difficult saying it.

To Awal, the song is to help people apologise to their dads especially when Fathers Day is just some few days away.

Prodigal son was produced by Caskeysonit and its also on the Gringo riddim.
