Ghanaian Reggae VPAL artiste, Knii Lante has indicated that his just released lovers rock tune, ‘Beautiful Virgo’, is a “tribute to all the beautiful empresses, princesses, and queens, who brighten up our (men’s) spaces."
Adding, “One thing about August borns (the 6th Zodiac sign, Virgo) is that they are the most exciting people to be with, or you disagree?”
Produced by Kenya’s Rebel Liberation Records (RLR) on the Uptown Gal Riddim, the ‘Corruption’ singer noted in an interview with AmaLarbieAfrica, “working with Rebel Liberation Records was a wonderful experience; he's amazing and the riddims, he ‘cooks’ right in his RLR Studio which are waving Africa.”
According to Knii, he had initially received the Uptown Girl Riddim, but “I was stalling on the Riddim after receiving it sometime ago and after listening to it over and over, I began to like it. So last week I was inspired to write, moved into the studio and recorded it ‘Beautiful Virgo’.”
On how far the musical journey had been with VPAL Records, he said, “It’s been good since last year when I was signed on to the label, which released and distributed my ‘True Feelings’ album. It is a two-year distribution deal, so, I have to work hard.”
“Meanwhile, I will be shooting some videos in the coming weeks,” the doctor-cum-musician added.
Knii Lante has songs on his ‘True Feelings’ album including, ‘Baby Take Good Care’, ‘House of pain’, ‘When you love someone’, a few to mention.
